Well, me and my wife dicuss the christian spirituality quite often (raised as catholic). One question came up, and it was, ‘was Jesus’ really a God, or even the son of a god.
Some fun facts about Jesus:
Could walk on Water: Extreme agility to control his chakra
Could Heal by the laying of hands: We all have this power in each of us, we just need to learn how to materialize it.
Died for the people: Did not fear death, as he already knew what was to come.
Could predict future events: Very high conection with his third eye.
And so on…..
Now all of the above mentioned, all of us souls, in human bodies, should be able to perform some if not all of these so called miracles, and guess what most of us already have. Yes I am working hard to be able to Walk on water, yea right, but would be interesting to try.
Was Jesus a God, NO, I do not think so. I believe that Jesus was a very old (advanced) soul that came to earth with advanced knowledge and abilities. He was here to teach us, to warn us, to love us, but I think, along the way, most of us lost or corrupted these messages for reasons of greed and Power over the mass.
Is Jesus in my heart? Absolutely. Even if the Jesus we talk about is a fabrication or a very good book of fiction, the message it holds is real. Do not take the writings literally, but take the messages that it holds to heart.
Let us enjoy this spiritual awakening that is upon us

With all due respect, there is something that you need to realize about Jesus. He did not leave us the option of thinking that he was just a “very good man” or a “good teacher.” Jesus declared, over and over again, that he was, in fact, God. And not just “a god” as you mentioned, but THE God, the one and only King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Read through John’s gospel and you will see what I am talking about.
Because Jesus repeatedly stated that he was God, he left us only two options; either he truly was/is God as he said, or he was a liar and a very evil man who has deceived millions and millions of people. There is no in between where he can be considered simply a good teacher.
As I said, I mean you no disrespect. Just something for you to think about.
Cheers.
Please do not forget that the Gospel was written by a man, who in turn did not declare himself as perfect either, therefore the Gospel written by John, Re-written by the churches, modified by the churches and then finally released by the Church containing what the Pope’s decided what was worthy of us to know. I think the church is hiding so much from us, that all we know is only what the church decides what we need to know… hence the corruption of man, but not of Jesus.
Plus I think that Jesus always gave us the choice

Marcel,
Here is another slant to your title…Are Humans Man or God?
Just something to ponder.

Jesus told us over and over aswell that we should be content of heart. When we realize that man is woman and that woman is man we will never move foward with knowledge, but remember that genesis tells us that this so called god never wanted us to have knowledge in the first place, hence the forbiden tree of knowledge. i also think that the idea of reincarnation was taking out. just something else for you all to ponder. Jesus brought back the dead and also came back to life him self. as for the apostles that claimed to have understood jesus and his teachings, well jesus always told peter over and over. You have become drunk with my words and know not what I say. Jesus thought us to love thy neighbor and thy enemies. Mary MAgdelen knew…….. she knew the truth which is why she never made it into the bible we have today. read her gospel. jesus came to her in a vision after he passed. Jesus was a great teacher, healer and all the above…….BUT not a god……. for he bled and dies like you or anyone else lets not forget that too. thank you for reading and am open to remakes.
Why do we need reincarnation? After all this time on this planet, I would seriously hope that if we were coming back time after time, we as a race would evolve at some point. From what I have seen, that just is not happening. Just a thought.
I’m a Christian and I believe that Jesus is who he said he was – God and man – perfect in every way. He died to exchange my mortality for his immortality. I can never be good enough to become what he will re-create me to become. There are alot of “good men” out there. None of them can do the things Jesus was able to do, and I would not bank my eternity on anyone just because they were so called “good”. Every good person, man or woman, has some inclination toward evil, an evil thought or action, somewhere inside. Jesus never had that. He is not a man – what man do you know who could raise the dead on purpose, not by accident? What man do you know who could predict he would raise himself from the dead and then do it? Or heal the sick or feed the multitudes with nothing? Or all the other miracles. I’ve met alot of men and women in my day, but I’ve never met anyone who could do all that. Jesus was definitely not “just a man”.
There is no God… Only matters, antimatter and unmatters.
All books that says there is God are books written by man who they think there is God.
You guys are being fooled by your own belief, this is just a big show/movie.
God does not exists, its only a show.
There is no doubt that hundreds of people, recorded in history by both Christian and Roman historians, saw Jesus alive after his reported death. Do some research before commenting.
His dying on the cross for our sins is real. His rise from the dead leaving an empty tomb is real. His love for us is real. We have nothing to loose to believe Him.
recorded history? You mean doctored information that we have never seen and that we are expected to believe… who writes history? MAN… man wrote the bible and man wrote all the other crap thats supposed to back it up. do you think god/jesus simply sent a fax through to the printing presses telling them to get cracking on those 50 million copies? No…
I’m sure there was a nice wonderful kind holy crap he’s amazing dude called Jesus back in those days but he was just a bloke doing things that were considered fantastic at the time. Like for instance if I went back two thousand years and got on my bike I’d be considered a god or if I performed the Heimlich I’d be seen as a miracle worker too. Not that I’m suggesting he could time travel or had a bike but you get the idea.
Anyway my point is that men control the church for power, and power alone. They crushed anyone who didn’t convert to their belief system and took over all places of worship. you can still see today, within all churches, references to Nature and pagan characters such as the green man, yet apparently all of that is “Witch Craft”
Believe in a higher power all you want, belief certainly isn’t a bad thing whatsoever but do not believe all of the rubbish spoon fed to you by all the religions that expect you to part with your free will and sense of reason.
First of, we are called to believe not question. That is why it is called a path of faith. Remember what faith is. It doesnt matter if it DOESNT MAKE SENSE, even though that the Word was written and prob even editted by man, it DOESNT mean that GOD cant use it to as His Word. GOD can do anything, if He used rocks to talk He can definately use the Book to talk. Now, the key factor that we MUST have is faith, we NEED to believe. It is IMPOSSIBLE to please God if we dont have faith. Even Jesus Himself was “limited” when he went somewhere (please excuse me i dont remember the name of the place), heres whats interesting, the Scritures say that He couldnt perform miracles BUT only because there was no faith. BUT just because there was no faith DOESNT mean Hes not God. Remember we’re the ones that need God, NOT the other way around. Even though you may not believe in God doesnt mean that He doesnt believe in you. God Bless.
its not important to decide weather Jesus was a god or not…..no religion in the world is perfect…..its just leaves us with a choice of either believing it or not………it just shows us the right path to be a right human…….exactly in the same way Jesus showed us the path to be a right human being….and if any normal person can do this then one day he/she will also be considered as GOD…..just like Jesus was…..
There are modern day Jesus’s out there. You need to realize, all of you, non believers and believers alike. Just because you believe something doesn’t make it real; because you dont believe something doesn’t make it not real. The thing is, I do not find importance in debating whether the events Jesus was a part of was real or not, whether he was God or not. There is a world out there hurting, you’re hurting. That’s why we humans search for something bigger to believe in. Whether you follow God, Buddha, or the Universe, you still have a piece of something huge inside of you, pumping your blood. It’s our duty to love each other, Jesus gave that example, but so did several other ancient visionaries/ spiritual leaders. The main theme is to meditate/ pray. To hope for something until it happens and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t for a reason. Be a Jesus. You can’t spit sand into someones eyes to make them see after being blind for a lifetime, but you can show blind people positivity and help them see what they cant.
If you spend all this time trying to prove and disprove your religious/ spiritual beliefs, we as a human race are getting nowhere. Just accept that people believe differently and move past it. In the end we will all find out we were wrong about something. Who is to say that the events of the bible were just bed time stories that were passed down through generations to instill a sense of hope to the planet because without it there was just despair? What if you deeply meditate and find yourself and your spiritual gifts? Maybe then, you’ll find God. Otherwise, it’s not about believing what others have written, find out for yourself.
EC you explained it well. The Bible is the word of God, yes written by man but God inspired. Jesus is God and the Holy spirit. Start reading the bible and u will know it is the truth because he will reveal it in your heart. Keep seeking
